1. Publisher and privacy contact

RASA Solutions publishes Rasa POS and this website. Contact ali.saade@outlook.de for privacy questions or requests. See our publisher information and Rasa POS application page.

Each company using the application decides what business records and personal information to enter. That company is responsible for its permissions, notices and responses to requests about those records. RASA Solutions handles information it receives through website or support enquiries.

2. Local application information

Rasa POS stores records on the computer where it is used. These can include products, stock, sales, receipts, purchases, expenses, customer and supplier contact details, and activity records. Their content depends on what the business enters. Installation identifiers, Business ID and device license information support activation and licensed features.

Normal local use does not send the transaction database to a RASA-operated server. You do not need a RASA website account to use the desktop workspace. Optional transfers to your Google Drive are described below.

3. Optional Google Drive connection in Rasa POS: data accessed

Connecting Google Drive is your choice. The app requests the drive.file permission, meaning files it creates or files you explicitly authorize for it. It does not request access to Gmail, Google Contacts or unrestricted access to all your Drive files.

For that connection, the application accesses and processes:

  • Account and authorization information: your Drive account permission identifier and the access/refresh credentials Google issues after your consent. Google handles sign-in; the application does not receive your Google password.
  • File metadata: relevant app file identifiers, names, sizes, app-specific properties, trash status and changes needed to locate, verify and transfer the app’s files.
  • File contents: the backup archives, transaction synchronization records and business/device connection files the app reads and writes. Backups may contain the business database, including personal information the business entered. Shared connection information allows the business’s devices to exchange records.

4. Why and how Google data is used

Rasa POS uses Google data only to provide the connected functions you choose: identify the intended account; create and upload backups; display available recovery copies; download and restore them; synchronize business records between eligible computers in the same business; check transfers and file changes; and manage older app-generated backup copies, including moving eligible copies to trash.

Local working records and downloaded files are processed on your computer. Cloud files are sent directly to and retrieved from your connected Google Drive. Google account identifiers help avoid using a different account accidentally. Authorization credentials allow the app to repeat authorized transfers without asking you to sign in for every transfer.

Limited Use: Rasa POS’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google data is not sold, used for targeted advertising, supplied to data brokers, used for credit decisions or used to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models.

5. Who receives the data and human access

Google receives the files and requests you authorize through the Drive connection and processes them under its privacy policy and applicable service terms. Other computers in your business group can receive the records synchronized through the same business and Google account. People with access to your computers, Google account or shared/exported files may be able to read them.

RASA Solutions does not routinely receive or inspect your Drive files through this direct connection and does not send them to advertising or analytics providers. If you request support and choose to provide a specific file or record, the support recipient can see that information for the agreed support task. Do not send passwords, unnecessary personal records or full backups in an initial enquiry. Information provided to us may also be disclosed when required by applicable law.

6. Where data is stored and how it is protected

The working database, local backups and downloaded synchronization records are stored on your computer. Uploaded copies and synchronization files are stored in your Google Drive. Authorization credentials and device credentials use the operating system’s protected storage. Transfers to Google use HTTPS. Synchronization records include encryption and integrity protections, but access to the connected account and its group files can allow access to shared data.

Current backup files are not encrypted or password protected. They are compressed and checked for accidental corruption; anyone holding a copy can read its contents. Some historical archives use their original recovery credentials. Protect your computers, account, local folders and any exported files. No protection eliminates every security or data-loss risk.

7. How long information is retained

Local business records remain until you delete or replace them. Licensing evidence and installation identity are stored separately from business backups. Uninstalling the app does not necessarily remove these directories or exported copies.

Eligible automatic backup copies are rotated conservatively. The newest 30 copies and all copies from the last 30 days are retained; a successful backup removes at most five older eligible copies. Cloud rotation applies to the app’s eligible copies for that business and device. Manual exports and older backup formats are not automatically removed by that rule. Copies moved to Google Drive trash remain subject to Google’s trash-retention rules.

Shared synchronization history and device connection files remain available for ongoing synchronization and recovery until separately removed. They are not deleted by backup rotation or by disconnecting one computer. Remove them only after preserving needed records and coordinating with the other computers, because deletion can disrupt synchronization or recovery. Pending transfers remain locally so they can retry.

8. Disconnecting, revoking access and deleting data

  1. Stop the connection: choose Disconnect Google Drive under License and backups in Rasa POS. This disables that connection and removes the app’s stored Google refresh credential. It preserves local records and existing uploaded files.
  2. Revoke permission: open Google Account connections, select Rasa POS, and remove its access. Future Drive transfers require new authorization.
  3. Remove cloud copies: manage the app’s backup and shared files in Google Drive and empty its trash when you want permanent removal. Coordinate with other devices before deleting active synchronization history; a connected device may otherwise upload pending data again.
  4. Remove local copies: delete unwanted local backups and exports separately. For removing an entire workspace or replacing a device, ask support for the appropriate process before deleting files.

For information you supplied to RASA Solutions for support, request deletion at ali.saade@outlook.de. We handle requests subject to applicable record-keeping obligations. We cannot independently delete files in your personal Google account without the access and action you authorize.

9. Website visits and support enquiries

The website has no customer login, advertising or analytics scripts added by RASA Solutions and no application cookie or local-storage identifier. Fonts and images are hosted with the site. Cloudflare Pages hosts and delivers it. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, browser/request details and security events and may inject security or anti-abuse functionality; its processing and retention are explained in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the contact information and message you provide to respond and deliver agreed support. Communication providers also process that exchange under their own terms. Support correspondence is kept for the enquiry, ongoing work and applicable record-keeping obligations. Ask us to delete information no longer needed, subject to those obligations.

10. Your choices, requests and policy changes

You can use licensed local features without connecting Google Drive. If you do connect it, you can later disconnect, revoke access and control the files in your account.

For information entered by a business using Rasa POS, contact that business. For information held by RASA Solutions, contact ali.saade@outlook.de. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a copy of your information or contact a supervisory authority.

We update this policy when relevant practices change and revise its date. Material changes to Google data use must also be reflected in the app’s notices and consent where required before data is used for a new purpose.
