What the application does
- Maintains a product catalogue and records sales and purchases.
- Tracks stock movements and everyday financial records.
- Organizes the business’s customer and supplier information.
- Creates local recovery copies and supports restoring saved data.
- Optionally uses Google Drive for backup, restore and exchanging transaction changes between eligible computers belonging to the same business.
The working database stays on the computer. Local features can work without a continuous internet connection. Available features, usage limits and expiry depend on the device license. English, German and Arabic interfaces are available.
Why Rasa POS asks for Google Drive permission
The Google connection is optional. When you choose Connect Google Drive inside the desktop app, Google asks you to authorize access to files created by Rasa POS or explicitly shared with it. This permission lets the app upload your backup files, list and download its recovery copies, read and write its synchronization files, and manage older app-generated backup copies.
Rasa POS processes the connected Drive account identifier, authorization credentials, relevant file names and metadata, backup contents and synchronization records for those features. Files can contain business and contact information entered in the app. They move directly between your computer and Google and can be received by the other computers connected to your business group.
The app does not request Gmail, Google Contacts or unrestricted access to all Drive files. Google sign-in authorizes the optional connection; it is not a RASA website login. Google’s availability, storage and usage limits apply, and transfers are not instantaneous.
Your choice and control
You can leave Google Drive disconnected and use licensed local features. You can disconnect it later in the app and revoke permission in your Google Account. Disconnecting does not delete existing business records or uploaded files.
Our privacy policy explains the data accessed, purposes, storage, sharing, security, retention and deletion options. Current backup files are not password protected; keep them private. Read the terms of use for service and software conditions.
